Virgin Media Television is to axe 780 hours of live TV from its schedules. Virgin Media One had recently announced a major increase in live TV in 2019 replacing ITV's This Morning with an extended Ireland AM, Elaine and News at 12. Ireland AM will see an hour cut from its programme, Elaine will move back to 3pm each weekday, while Virgin Media news will be cut by half an hour moving to 12:30, meanwhile their NEWS on TWO show was axed in 2019.

In all the latest complaints came to 16. The Last complaint decided on by the BAI was on 25th of January 2019, some 6 months ago. The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) rejected all complaints with just 4 complaints seen by their Compliance Committee, rest where rejected by the The Executive Complaints Forum of the BAI. Three complaints were made against The Late Late Show, one against a Prime Time promo on RTÉ ONE. RTÉ Radio 1's Ray D'Arcy Show, RTÉ2's TRTÉ, Sunshine FM's More Music Drive, Red FM's Neil Prendville Show, RTÉ's Six One, Virgin Media's Celebrity Juice, RTÉ's Nine News, Radio 1's Marian Finucane Show and Radio Nova's Colm and Lucy Show each received one complaint. Newstalk's Lunchtime Live received 2 complaints.

Virgin Media's Irish broadcast channels earned high ratings for Virgin Media one and TWO. Virgin Media one's coverage of the UEFA Champions League Final had an average audience of 631,000 viewers, while Love Islands first episode of the season had 435,000 viewers over on Virgin Media TWO.

TV3 is to undergo another relaunch in mid-2018 according to their CEO at the launch of their 2018 Spring schedule. Following on from buyout of TV3 by Virgin Media Ireland TV3 will re-launch in mid-2018 as Virgin Media Television, however no decision have been made on the naming of the individual channels, TV3, 3e and be3. The name change announcement was made with the launch of TV3's spring schedule, which see them take on Six Nations Rugby, Ireland's Got Talent and the return of Red Rock.
